Visual 102’s HD outside broadcast (OB) unit, Enterprise, has an appointment this evening with Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night!

English guitar virtuoso Ritchie Blackmore was born on April 14, 1945 in Weston-Super-Mare, Avon. He strummed his first chords at the age of 11, when his father bought Ritchie his first guitar.

He has played with a number of major groups over the years, starting with The Delfonic (along with drummer Mike Underwood: Episode Six, Gillan). He later joined The Outlaws, recording several singles with them, and also backed Jerry Lee Lewis, Heinz and Gene Vincent. In addition, he regularly played with Screaming Lord Sutch and other well-known groups.

The Olympia will be rocking tonight with Ritchie Blackmore and Blackmore’s Night!
